Raymond James Pops:
Marvin Hamlisch & More

Lee Musiker, conductor & piano
Doug LaBrecque, vocalist

The orchestra honors one singular sensation — the late Marvin Hamlisch — in a concert featuring his beloved songs, along with the music that inspired him from Gershwin, Bernstein and more.

Over the years, Hamlisch appeared several times with The Florida Orchestra, telling stories, singing and playing the piano. He pulled from his monster hits such as The Way We Were, The Sting and A Chorus Line.

Hamlisch, who died in 2012, also had worked with Lee Musiker, a Grammy and Emmy Award winner who will conduct and play piano for this concert. Musiker’s star-studded career spans Broadway, classical, pop and beyond. From 2001 to 2013 he toured and recorded with Tony Bennett and has performed and/or recorded with artists including Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Barbra Streisand, Sting, Joshua Bell, Wynton Marsalis and many more. He also has guest conducted the New York Philharmonic and the Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee and National Symphony Orchestras.
