Individual Giving

Your Gift Makes a Difference

The Florida Orchestra relies on individual donations to the Annual Fund to fulfill our mission to inspire, educate and entertain. Each gift supports the music you hear, the artistic quality you experience and enriches the cultural landscape of Tampa Bay.

Subscriptions and tickets sales only provide for 40% of the revenue needed to support the orchestra; therefore, Annual Fund support is essential to ensure our long-term operation. By establishing a tradition of annual giving, you can have pride in knowing your gift has helped to secure The Florida Orchestra’s position as a leading cultural institution and valued asset in the community.

Musician Sponsorship (Gold Level Patrons and above)

Build a Relationship with our Talented Musicians

The Musician Sponsorship Program provides donors at the Amadeus Gold Level and above the opportunity to develop a closer relationship with an orchestra musician. Since the program’s inception in 2008, musicians and patrons alike have found Musician Sponsorship to be a rewarding way to share the bond of music.

Each donor is paired with a musician of their choice for one season. To aid the donor and musician in becoming acquainted, an initial meeting is set up by staff, leaving other meetings to be determined individually. Additionally, sponsored musicians are invited to attend Amadeus Society events to sit with their donors. The orchestra also hosts an annual reception for all sponsored musicians and their donors.

This unique opportunity to learn more about our orchestra musicians and their various interests is something only The Florida Orchestra can provide. As of today, 48 of the orchestra’s musicians are already sponsored for the 2012/13 season.

Please contact Cynthia Long, Development Director, clong@floridaorchestra.org or by phone at 727.362.5420, for more information on this opportunity to support the Annual Fund.
