“If music be the food of love, play on.” –Shakespeare
The orchestra will perform Tchaikovsky’s sumptuous music inspired by Shakespeare’s plays: Hamlet: Fantasy-Overture after Shakespeare; The Tempest: Fantasy-Overture; and Romeo and Juliet Overture-Fantasy. In collaboration with American Stage Theatre Company, actors will present a brief scene from each play as a prelude to the music. Part of the Shakespeare Festival.
