Kid-sized chamber concerts that introduce youngsters (ages 6-10) to classical music and the instruments of the orchestra. These interactive, casual chamber concerts introduce young children to classical music and help develop focus, creativity and critical thinking skills. They’re also just plain fun.
Performances last about 35 minutes. TFO partners with a variety of community organizations for activities that start 30 minutes before each performance, including the North Suncoast Associates’ popular Instrument Petting Zoo.
NEW THIS YEAR! TFO’s Family Concerts are presented in exceptional youth venues across Tampa Bay. Tickets can be reserved ahead of time for concerts at Ruth Eckerd Hall’s Murray Theatre and the James Museum, and the concert is FREE with admission to the Glazer Children’s Museum.
Additional ticketing and reservation information will be available in September.
Do you have sensory-friendly performances available?
Yes, this year all of our performances have been designed for a sensory-friendly audience. We partner with CARD (Center for Autism and Related Disabilities) at USF to provide training and extra support to our staff and musicians.
What time do preconcert activities begin?
All preconcert activities begin 30 minutes before each performance. Activities will not be open after the second performance.
Why do I have to purchase tickets through other venues?
Technology! All of our venues run on different ticketing systems, and because we will be at their location for the concert, they can assist us when you arrive better if they can sell the tickets on their system.
