The Florida Orchestra is partnering with organizations across Tampa Bay to present interactive chamber music concerts for families of children in pre-K through 2nd grade. Be sure to arrive early for musical playtime, beginning 45 minutes before the concert.
We have designed these performances to serve children and families with sensory sensitivities. Through our partnership with the University of South Florida’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD), we are making the whole experience (preparation, Musical Playtime, and performance) sensory friendly.
We invite you to introduce the kids in your life to the live music you love. Now children ages 5 to 18 can attend the Tampa Bay Times Masterworks for free. It’s the latest in our initiatives to make live symphonic music even more accessible to Tampa Bay.
Student & Teacher Tickets
Students, teachers, education staff, and members of the military may purchase individual $10 tickets with a valid I.D. to most Florida Orchestra concerts, subject to availability. Limit two tickets per valid I.D. Some restrictions may apply. Tickets may be purchased the night of the concert at the given concert hall, starting one hour prior to concert time. No internet purchases are available for these discounted tickets.
Instrument Petting Zoo
Presented by the North Suncoast Associates volunteers, the Instrument Petting Zoo offers young children and their families an opportunity to see, touch, hear, and play the instruments of the orchestra. This program provides a unique, free opportunity for children to deepen their understanding of the orchestra, and encourages future enjoyment and participation in instrumental music.
